Courage has many definitions. Being able to face pain or grief as well as being able to be daring or bold.
I have faced both sides of courage. I endured pain and grief as a young girl and I was able to face those emotions head on and build myself up to realize that the people who inflicted the pain and grief were wounded themselves.
As the saying goes, hurt people- hurt people. Knowingly or unknowingly. It’s a subconscious action most of the time.
I AM a SURVIVOR!!! From having my mother be broken to healing herself, and me being affected in the process, to having a sense of normalcy by having a father figure only to have him taken from me for whatever the reason, to then being more aware of how alone I really was by not having my biological father around, not because of him not wanting to, but because of childish and foolish mistakes he made as a young man.
He fell victim to the system, which caused me to become a statistic. I know I AM a SURVIVOR because I hold no ill will towards anyone.
During this pandemic, I have experienced an array of thoughts and emotions and have concluded that when you are adamant about changing the narrative of what some may expect and the stereotypes, you can SURVIVE! You can HEAL! You can OVERCOME!
Despite the unknown and living in the midst of this pandemic, I choose to LIVE for myself and my loved ones LOVE others who are deserving unconditionally and continue to spread positive energy with whomever crosses my path. It’s my duty to spread joy, be authentic and share the knowledge and wisdom I carry.

There is a need to practice self-care. Especially during these times of uncertainty. You must also build a personal relationship with God. Learn and understand what his Laws Statues and Commandments are and follow them.
Know that you may be your biggest critic but understand that you have the ability to overcome any obstacle and heal from all of your wounds. Put the work in and have faith.

To be courageous means not to be deterred by danger or pain. Whether that pain be physical or emotional. In life we will have experiences that will cause us pain or discomfort and having the ability to grow and learn from those experiences is necessary. This is the process of IMMERSION!
Survivors heal others. I accept my role and my calling.
