Courage To Live In The Midst Of A Pandemic

Many; including devoted Christians, are worried about living in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic. Politicians are fighting one another over how to handle this pandemic, science is inconclusive, and health care officials are dispersing conflicting information.

This pandemic has left many afraid to live, and it appears that this pandemic is antipodal to the Word of Yahweh (God).

Let's examine the Scriptures: John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. My friend, the thief (Satan) has manifested himself in COVID 19. He has been so harmful that he shut the doors of churches worldwide for two months, stopped economies worldwide, and has physically afflicted millions. However, the Word of Yahweh is still mightier than He is. Yeshua (Jesus) said,

I have come that you might have life and that you might have it MORE abundantly. Therefore, the question becomes, how do I experience this Christ-like life and have the courage to live life in the midst of this pandemic Answer: speak and live Yahweh's Word over your life.

Let's examine the Scriptures: Joshua 1:7-9 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Yahweh is speaking to Joshua (a prototype of Jesus) about leading Israel out of the wilderness into the Promised Land. Yahweh told Joshua, and the same is applicable for us today, three principles.

1. Only be strong and courageous. My friend, the ability to be strong and courageous in the midst of COVID 19 comes upon you from Yahweh Himself: Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but 6against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

2. Yahweh told Joshua that if he didn't turn from the Law (Word of Yahweh) he would prosper wherever he went. My friend, this isn't the time to live contrary to the Word. The way the thief will kill, steal, and destroy from you in this pandemic is to catch you living in sin.

I know many faithful Christians who have succumbed to COVID 19, but I am confident that they are with Yeshua because they lived Holy lives. DON'T LET THE THIEF CATCH YOU IN SIN!!!

3. Yahweh told Joshua to speak the Word of Yahweh ONLY. My friend, many are speaking the words of politicians, scientists, health care professionals, and how they feel.

However, you as a believer must speak with the Word says Psalm 118:17 KJV — I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV — For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. These are just two of many, and I can't overemphasize the importance of a constant prayer life.

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

My friend, I have had many friends and family who have succumbed to COVID 19. I live a quarantined life, and take all necessary precautions; however, I don't live in fear of the thief in COVID 19. I have the courage to live, and I am going to live my best life in the midst of this pandemic.
