If someone were to ask me how did you survive a severe stroke that almost paralyzed the left side of your body, my answer is emphatically to point to the grace of the MOST HIGH GOD!
I am not living in my own strength and by own choices. The sooner a believer or a child of GOD recognizes this truth, then one can truly enter HIS rest.
There will be no more striving and trying to be righteous in the eyes of GOD and in the eyes of man. The word of GOD says that the servant of the LORD should not strive. See 2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 2 Timothy 2:24 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage…
The one thing that I can say from surviving this stroke is that the LORD used it to crush that striving spirit in me.
Fast forward to today. I can attest to the same thing that King David declared in Psalm 119:71.... It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
Psalm 119:71 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage… Today, I can attest to what Apostle Paul said in Galatians 2:20... I am crucified with CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the SON of GOD, who loved me, and gave HIMSELF for me.
Galatians 2:20 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage… One may ask how did you get to this point?
I did not get here on my own. I am here today because of the LORD in HIS providential grace and foreknowledge surrounded me with a solid support group of family and like minded believers. This is what immersion means to me! You are as strong as the support group or community that surrounds you.

I want to give acknowledgement and thanks to my wife and best friend, Lady Tanyna Stephens and our children, Samuel, Jalen, Alexander, Gabrielle and Sarah.
I want to thank Apostle Dr. Marubian Affinii for providing spiritual support, covering and strength to me and my family and the space to work it out(next subject).
I want to thank Apostle Liberty Cheney and the Body of Believers at LIM(Liberty International Ministries) for welcoming me and my family to be partakers in this new chapter of our lives.
I want to send a special thanks and acknowledgement to Apostle Dr. Tony Robertson and the intercessors from the Spirit of Truth Ministries that prayed us through this transition.
I want to thank my brothers and sisters in CHRIST, Prophet Dr. Andre Nero Randall, Apostle Anterral Taylor, Apostle Dr. Barbara Hampton and Elder Sydell Green. My spiritual mother, Apostle Dr. Thelma Johnson and others that watered my thirsty soul in this walk, Bishop Dr. Dana C. Head, Sr and Dr. Claudine Head and the Body of Believers from the New Hope and Life Church of GOD.
Also thank you to Bishop Van Jones and Rev. David Abercrombie and Apostle Wayne and Prophet Annie Howden. If I have missed acknowledging anyone, I apologize.
I will close my thoughts with this perspective on immersion. One must surround themselves with a solid team and support group to survive a setback or a tragedy. This is in essence why GOD established the Church in the earth. HE did not desire us to be out here facing trials and tribulations alone. I pray that this encourages you to keep the faith and to never ever give up hope. Let us take on the mindset and faith of Father Abraham...Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. Romans 4:18 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage…
Immersion to me is safety and protection. Join us at Immersion as we go through this journey. We will survive this pandemic and we shall overcome by the BLOOD of the LAMB, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and the word of our testimony.
The scripture that I believe conveys immersion is from Proverbs 11:14...Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
Proverbs 11:14 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage…
Sincerely, Pastor Grover W. Stephens, Jr.
